In the 10 years I've been Tutoring English I've been able to use my educational background in English Literature and Psychology for the enrichment of my students in central New Jersey and metro Philadelphia. I consider it an on-going goal to help my students achieve the ability to communicate in a clear concise way. After all, the way you write is the way you think. I agree with Issac Asimov who once implied that the best writers are always reading. Listening, reading, the use of vocabulary and sentence structure and, most of all, imagination are part of the wondrous chain of Learning. I want to encourage your voice. The ability to find your special "take" on a subject and then have the confidence to put it on display. Like so many things in life, confidence can help one experience their world to the fullest. We work with business professionals who want to improve their business English. Our specialty is teaching sales professionals who use English in their daily work. We are a tutoring team. One of us is a successful sales professional and sales author, the other is a certified TESOL teacher. We have a 9 week program that gives sales professionals all the tools necessary to sell using English. All of the English lessons are in the context of business sales. Continuing lessons also available after the 9 weeks. We focus on applied, practical business English that will help you succeed in sales. We don't teach children. We will consider university students and high school students on a case by case basis.

Born and raised in Illinois, Tariq Shah writes fiction and poetry. He holds a BA in English from DePaul University in Chicago, and an MFA in Creative Writing from St. Joseph's College, where he now teaches undergraduate English. From 2007-2009 he served in the US Peace Corps, during which time he taught 8th and 9th grade English in Moatize, Mozambique, and speaks Portuguese proficiently.
