My name is Cheryl. I am a certified ESE and English Professional teacher in Palm Beach County. I am currently working as an ESL teacher as well (tutoring both children and adults in this area.) I have 10 years experience working with special needs and regular education children (including ESL learners.) I also have six years experience tutoring college students. One of my specialties is teaching and tutoring children with special needs. I believe that every child has the capacity to learn, but children learn in different ways. My goal is to fit your child's tutoring to his or her personality, learning style, and individualized learning needs. When tutoring adults, I have the same goals, but on a different level of course. I am a former Elementary Education teacher. On the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, I am able to tutor most subjects. I also have experience tutoring AP classes. I have also taught AP Psychology, AP Literature & Composition, and AP Composition and Grammar. On a home school basis, I have also taught Honors World History, as well as Honors U.S.History, and even Kindergarten. I also specialize in essay writing and review, both High School and College levels. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and am currently finishing up a Master's Degree in Special Education. I also have a Master's Degree in English. I have also studied Psychology at the Master's level. I have tutored several college students through graduation at the Bachelor's Degree level of Psychology and even Media Psychology on the Master's level. Therefore, My tutoring strengths include reading, mathematics, history, social studies, and language arts (including grammar and spelling). My name is Chelsea and I currently am located in sunny Southern California. I have five years in total tutoring children in Writing, English, History, and Mathematics. I graduated from California State University Fullerton, a four- year university with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and a minor in American History. Born and raised in Illinois, Tariq Shah writes fiction and poetry. He holds a BA in English from DePaul University in Chicago, and an MFA in Creative Writing from St. Joseph's College, where he now teaches undergraduate English. From 2007-2009 he served in the US Peace Corps, during which time he taught 8th and 9th grade English in Moatize, Mozambique, and speaks Portuguese proficiently. An active percussionist for over 15 years, he performs regularly, and has extensive music performance, composition and education experience.
