I specialize in right brain training, and can teach phonics, reading, writing and oral English at a very high level in a short period of time. My techniques have been proven to be extremely effective for all ages.

Spoken ability is always more important than written as that is your first impression to others! Hi there, my name is Teacher Mike and I'm a native Engish speaker from the U.S. Born and raised in Los Angeles, I eventually completed my university and graduate school education in California. The early part of my career took me to several interesting cities around the world and after a few years I decided to settle down in Hong Kong where my wife and I both work in education. When I began teaching, I chose to offer private lessons as a freelance tutor, as opposed to teaching groups. This meant that speaking in depth with parents to undertsand specific objectives they have for their children was a key part of doing my job well. Twenty years onward, this still holds true for me today and is the main reason I believe that open communication between the tutor and parents is so important. I conduct online lessons via Zoom, and face-to-face lessons in my classroom in North Point (at Padooki's English Learning Centre). For reference, my rates are as follows: $880/hr for live classes $660/hr for Zoom classes All lesson material is personalised for each and every student.
