Hey there! My name is Monica and I'm a recent graduate looking to share my passion for literature and the English language with some eager (or not so eager - it happens) students. I'm 22 years old and I'm originally from Madrid, Spain, but I moved to The Hague when I was 10 years old and followed an English education from then on. Alike most of the kids in the international community I attended the American School of The Hague, where I completed the IB program. From there, I went on to study an English Literature Bachelor's and this year I finished an MA on Writing, Editing and Mediating. I'm a very bubbly, passionate teacher and I always aim to make classes as fun as possible while also being educational. I've had loads of experience tutoring, both volunteering to be a teacher assistant for two years as well as private one on one classes with students. I adapt well to all different types of students and make sure to adjust lessons according to individual needs. Hello, my name is Nicholas. I am from the UK, and a native English speaker with a British accent. I am now permanently based in Hong Kong. I have worked at an International Primary school, a renowned Education Centre in Central, and private home based teaching. I have done thousands of hours of online teaching. In Hong Kong, I have taught many school-age students and can help students with preparation for oral and written exams, or work on improving their foundation in English. I have taught adults in general English, and used my prior experience and insights as a International Sales Director to teach business English. Prior to taking on a new student, I will want to assess their current standard and future needs so I can plan what to teach. My preference is for online teaching, and I have a comprehensive library of lesson plans, and high quality online learning technology. While not suitable for everybody, I find that this method is very effective in terms of time and productivity both for teacher and students. I also run group classes for 3-4 students for different year levels. The aim of these classes is to improve English foundation skills. Students benefit from the interaction with teacher and other students, and by forming a group, the hourly fee can be much lower than 1-to-1 tutoring. If you are interested in this, let me know.
