Hello, my name is Airat! I teach math classes in English and Russian for students of schools and colleges. I have a bachelor's degree in electronics and electrical engineering. There was a lot of serious mathematics during my studies, and I continue to study this fascinating subject. During my studies at school and university, I participated in mathematical Olympiads and won prizes at some of them. For the 8th year now, I've been sharing my experience in understanding the mathematics curriculum and solving mathematical problems. My students are improving their grades, developing math problem-solving skills, and logical thinking in general. I'm also familiar with some popular exams (SAT MATH, ACT, AP Calculus, GCSE, IB). My approach is to teach how to think mathematically, be able to logically build a solution to a problem (even if it seems very complicated), and not just use formulas without understanding how they work. I explain complex mathematical things using simple real-life examples, as well as explain how to find a solution to a problem. This is necessary for a real understanding of mathematics, as well as for the successful completion of any exam. In my classes, I use an online whiteboard so that students can access notes from our lessons at any time, as well as write down their own solutions. I've been studying mathematics for most of my life, so I know exactly which topics need to be explained to the student in order to close the gaps in knowledge. I also understand the difficulties students face in studying mathematics and other subjects. With each of my students, we overcome these difficulties together. I teach, in my opinion, the most important thing for mathematics - the ability to think mathematically and consciously do every action in order to come to a solution to a task. Therefore, in our lessons, we spend a lot of time on details, proofs of all theorems, properties, and necessarily the ability to apply them to solve problems. Many of my students wanted to study mathematics at an advanced level, although initially, it didn't seem so interesting. Anza has spent five years working consistently as both a tutor and a teaching assistant. She began her professional career as a tutor and teaching assistant at Sam Hughes Elementary School in Arizona. She loved this job as much as both the teachers and students enjoyed having her, and continued on at this location for 4 years. Upon graduation from the University of Arizona (where she also worked as a preceptor in college courses), Anza began a new job at Kumon Math and Reading Center in Los Angeles, quickly moving up the ranks to become a lead teacher and administrative assistant working with students from pre-school to 4th grade. Anza now lives in New York City and is hoping to continue the work she is so passionate about. Hello. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During my undergraduate career, I tutored fellow students in a variety of maths. Upon graduating, I continued to tutor a bariety of math at a local community college until I was able to get my first full time job. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to continue tutoring, but I maintained a love for teaching and training and I always offered to teach and train fellow employees. I have recently obtained a new job which allows me more free time to get back into tutoring as I did enjoy the challenge of teaching such a universally difficult subject. I love math and I am looking into retaking the GRE exams so that I may attend graduate school. I think LearnPick would be a great place to start. I teach all math from elementary school math to pre calculus. I would love to tutor calculus again after some breif relearning. I reside in New York City and would love to either online tutor or tutor in person. I believe in person tutoring is more effective, but online tutoring provides the opportunity to students with busy afterschool schedules.
