Online Astrophysics Tutors across the globe

Having completed the IB Diploma with a Physics component, I partner with tutor partners who have taught and supervised umpteen Physics students from all levels (from primary to IB/A-level/GCSE to undergraduate level), enhancing students' Physics knowledge through tailor-made materials where appropriate. My tutor partners have a unique teaching style in that we do not simply teach theory. Instead, we help students apply theorems to everyday life situations, enabling them to fully comprehend complex concepts in Physics and facilitating efficient learning.

I have been an on-site and online private tutor for over 15 years, tutoring mathematics, physics, and computer science subjects from secondary to graduate level. My students come from prestigious boarding schools, colleges, and universities, such as Concord College, Tonbridge School, Queen Ethelburga's College (UK), Milton Academy (USA), German Swiss International School, Hong Kong International School, Canadian International School, Singapore International School (HK), University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong (HK), Royal Holloway - University of London, Cass Business School (UK), and Harvey Mudd College (USA). Many of my students have received offers from world-class universities, including the University of Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science, New York University, University of British Columbia, and Nanyang Technological University.

I obtained a Master of Science from the University of California, Berkeley (Ranked #8 in World University Ranking, 2025), and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University. I am a Physics tutor for public exams including the IGCSE, IB, and GCE A Level. For more ambitious students, I offer tutoring in SAT subject tests in Math and Physics, as well as AP exams in Calculus, Physics, and Statistics. With over 8 years of tutoring experience, I have taught over 170 students from various international schools such as HKIS, KGV, Canadian International School, Island School, German Swiss International School. For tutoring lessons, I travel to most districts in Hong Kong. I also teach online lessons using Zoom if that is the student's preferred mode of learning.

I would like to introduce myself by saying that I am a trained physicist with a Master's degree by research and several years of industrial research experience prior to teaching. I have been working in international education for 30 years. Giving over 30 academic talks and as a keen Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at Imperial College London, I am passionate about not only ensuring a clear understanding for tutees but also creating an interest and enthusiasm in the subjects I teach. I have been tutoring since I was sixteen years old. This hyper-fixation on academic performance is often complemented by a collective learning environment that can easily neglect the unique, subtle nuances of each individual's learning style and pace. In wanting to do well, students often find themselves navigating a teaching approach that, by necessity, prioritizes this group environment, and they resort to finding their own way through topics and exams - a path they don't need to navigate alone. This is where I can help. Having been in both the student and teacher roles of the academic experience, I've encountered the range of challenges and pitfalls that often lead to unsuccessful outcomes, and in the worst cases, a misjudgment of our own abilities and a lowering of our own potential. In distilling my dual experience, I have understood the keystone component that determines where these outcomes fall: Communication.

I have been teaching full-time at international schools in Bangkok for 20 years (at the time of writing). I am an experienced and accomplished teacher of IB and 'A'-Level Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as well as IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
