Hi! I'm Ms. Isabel. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from one of the top-leading universities in the country. Even before my university days, I have since worked as a 1-on-1 tutor for students (ranging from 6th grade to high school) in the subjects of Social Science, History and English, and have also had my time teaching at public institutions and communities outside the metro. I have also attended writing workshops for creative writing, as well as participated in local writing contests. Aside from delving into political theories, assessing political landscapes and evaluating current political trends, if you also need help in doing flash fiction, descriptive writing or the like, I'd love to help! Teaching for me is a fulfilment. I respect my students, and I encourage an open space to develop your own voice and thought process over the material we are studying. Learning is not bound within a given set of instructional materials, but it is how we apply this said learning; how we develop our character along the way, and how we can best serve others with what we know. As a professional educator, my efforts extend beyond academics. I work hard at instilling a sense of school pride, building community awareness, and motivating students to set higher standards. In addition to history, government, and world culture, my teaching experience encompasses inclusion classes. With all my students, I take the time to connect with each one, demonstrating genuine sensitivity when working with those who have special needs. Whatever the topic, my goal is to emphasize the fact that knowledge and access to information are essential to responsible citizenship and participation in a democracy.
