Questions for You

Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

I work with a wide range of ages. I've had the privilege of teaching children from 5 years old to older adults between 65 and 70.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

My methodology emphasizes active learning, utilizing real-life scenarios, multimedia resources, and interactive exercises to keep students engaged and motivated. I also encourage immersion through reading, listening, and speaking activities.

Q: How do you measure progress and assess learning outcomes for your students?

Through homework activities, practical exercises in class, and if the student requests it or I suggest it, completing knowledge tests.

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

Yes, those are essential components of my Spanish sessions. By providing feedback, the student identifies which areas need more focus and preparation or which areas they have successfully mastered.

Q: What technology or resources do you use to enhance your lessons, particularly for online sessions?

In addition to using PowerPoints, I use tools such as audio, videos, and links to maintain the flow and originality of the class. I'm always researching ways to add creative resources to the session.

Q: Do you provide any additional support outside of scheduled lesson times, such as answering questions via email or phone?

Yes, my students can communicate with me via email or phone as long as it is only about topics related to Spanish classes.

Q: Do you have any specific strategies for motivating students who may be struggling or disengaged with the subject material?

To motivate students who may be struggling or disengaged with the subject material, educators can employ a variety of strategies. These include creating a supportive learning environment, recognizing the underlying reasons for lack of motivation, and using technology to make learning more engaging. Additionally, teachers can differentiate instruction, involve parents, track progress, and promote a growth mindset. By tailoring their strategies to address individual needs and learning styles, educators can help students stay engaged and motivated in their studies.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning differences or special needs?

Yes, and it's been a very beneficial experience because we all learn at our own pace and on our terms. This isn't a competition; it's a learning journey.
