Questions for You

Q: What kind of materials and resources do you use in your classes?

Documents (pdfs, pictures), virtual whiteboard, immersive simulations, pronunciation practice, homework...

Q: How do you incorporate speaking, listening, writing, and reading in your lessons?

Depending on the needs and proficiency of a learner, we will focus on the skill(s) that best match the desired outcome. By default Listening and Speaking are incorporated as soundbites, videos, direct interaction with me in the target language. For Reading and Writing, while theory is looked at during sessions, exercises, live or for the next session will be the best way to practice them.

Q: Do you offer homework assignments or practice exercises?

Absolutely. Their amount will depend on the learner's goals, wishes and available time.

Q: How do you help students with pronunciation and accent?

Absolutely. I have a long experience in sound formation training and can provide very practical advice and propose exercises to achieve progress. Keep in mind that speaking another language is a bit like starting a new sport... regular practice is needed to develop the right muscles and abilities! :)

Q: How do you teach French grammar and vocabulary?

I adapt to what works best for my learners, but I generally ask them to bring French into their existing hobbies as it creates a more motivating environment and tends to much better anchor new knowledge.

Q: Can you adapt your teaching style for different learning styles?

Absolutely. My only objective is my learners progress. Adapting to what works best for them is essential.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or support outside of lessons such as language exchanges or cultural events?

Not at this very moment, but I like the idea and would definitely try to incorporate them. That being said, I do provide learners with relevant links to cultural aspects of the language they learn as they are crucial to achieve progress and fluency.
