I have a Master of Arts in Visual Anthropology and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. I am also a TEFL 120-hour premier qualified teacher. I was born and raised in Canada and subsequently lived for 15 years in Britain, therefore I can help you with British English as well as American English. I'm a 25-year old grammar nerd whose biggest strength is my language abilities. I have family living in both the UK (London and Birmingham, England) and in the US (New York), so I've grown up with the English language as well as my native Danish language. I've facilitated group tutoring at my own university for three years (including classes such as Social & Personality Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Work & Organizational Psychology). I have worked as a professional proof-reader to correct grammar, syntax and the structure of E-books about stress and mentoring. Before arriving in Thailand in October, last year, I was working in Tanzania, East Africa, as an English teacher in two different nursery schools. After graduating, I worked as a caseworker or social worker for many years before deciding to change careers and become an English teacher in 1995. I lived and worked in South Korea from November 1995 until March 2007. During my time there, I taught at a private school, a high school, and a university. Additionally, I tutored students of all ages and backgrounds on a part-time basis. I also taught Business English to company employees in Seoul, Korea. In 2007, I moved back to Canada where I continued to teach English in a private language school in Vancouver. My students came from many different countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Korea, and China, as well as various European countries. While in Canada, I upgraded my qualifications and completed my TESL certification, teaching IELTS classes. In 2009, I moved back to Asia, specifically Thailand, where I currently reside.
