My name is Roxanne or Miss Champion, and I will be your instructor for English or any subject for that matter; especially an introduction to Online Learning. I have been teaching Part-Time since 2012. Prior to that, I worked for a Hospitality Company & have Professional British English experience. I received my Diploma in Psychology & English as a first language. I am a firm believer in online learning, as my passion is online course design, development, and delivery. I look forward to a great time with any student and have fun, exciting classes to learn from.

Hi! I am a third-year university student currently studying BCom International Business and living in Stellenbosch, South Africa. English has always been my best subject, as I excelled throughout high school, which was taught using the Cambridge International Curriculum. In addition to English, I am able to assist with Geography up to IGCSE/Grade 10, Biology up to AS level, and Industrial Psychology (144) at a first-year level. I am a British national and a graduate of King’s College London with a degree in Foreign Languages. I am proficient in five languages, including English, Cantonese, Spanish, German, and Mandarin.

With 40 years of experience in Advertising & Marketing, as well as the Visual Arts & Communication, I have rare and in-depth knowledge of how language communicates, persuades, and manipulates through printed media or television in both the Consumer Market and Corporate Communications. I provide teaching for vocabulary and pronunciation, receptive and productive skills, and grammar. I will tailor the level of tuition to suit your needs in order to use English in any scenario, ranging from everyday conversation to business report writing. I specialize in tutoring B1 students to B2 level, as well as B2 level students to C1 level, and even C2 if necessary.

I graduated with a BA in History of Art degree and decided that I enjoyed teaching. I then completed a CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Primary and Early Years. I have taught in the UK and in Kuwait.

Coming from a translation background, I have worked in multinational companies for more than 10 years. I have extensive experience using English in a real-life business environment with people from diverse backgrounds. As such, I have realized that using English as a communication tool is not just about the language itself; it involves understanding the culture of the people using it. I would love to share with my future students the best ways to use English to communicate with people from around the world. Mature students who have to communicate in English would benefit the most from my lessons.

I am an educator, designer, and editor based in Chiang Mai. With a background in architecture and fine arts, I received a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University, pursued studies in Art History, Theory and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earned a Post-Professional Certificate in Alternative Design at Archeworks, followed by a Master in Architecture from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. I am the former Editor-in-Chief of Perspective magazine in Hong Kong and have held various academic positions, including Visiting Fellow at City University Hong Kong, Assistant Professor at Chu Hai College of Higher Education Hong Kong, Visiting Assistant Professor at Hong Kong University, and University of Saint Joseph, Macau. I also served as the Director of the DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) Lab at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). After a decade teaching in Hong Kong and China, I relocated to Thailand, where I currently hold the position of Visiting Lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture at Chiang Mai University. My current research centers on Critical Graphic Design, Media and Publications, Landscape Urbanism and Urban Development in Northern Thailand, as well as Urban Mobility and Participatory Design Strategies for the city of Chiang Mai. Currently, I spend most days managing a small independent studio in Chang Moi, dealing with a lovely but troublesome ginger cat, and working on new initiatives and workshops for the region.

I was born and raised in Thailand until the age of 7 years old. From the age of 7 to 30, I lived, studied, and worked in the United Kingdom. I am a dual national, a citizen of both Thailand and England. I have both passports. I have been teaching English in Thailand for over 15 years. I am also a translator and an interpreter. I often have to interpret for my clients at Thai courts for civil disputes. My expertise would be in IELTS, TOEIC, business English, interviews, presentations, and pronunciation.
