I am British, born in the United Kingdom. I work part time at an International school in Bangkok, and dedicate my afternoons to private tutoring. I have a Post Graduate Certification in Education, International and Level 5 TEFL certificate. I specialise in teaching younger children as I love kids, have a creative mind, very patient and always make sure my students understand what they learn rather than just merely memorise things. My philosophy: With the increase in popularity of AI, I found that many local students were using AI generated responses in their work. This doesn't help their grade, and an over reliance on such a utility could prove to be problematic. I aim to teach English in a way that is approachable so pupils don't have to resort to using AIs. I also find that with many families moving to the UK for new prospects, or with many students who wish to study abroad, one limiting factor to this was English proficiency. I hope to help those who are seeking to leave Hong Kong by providing a good foundation for conversational English and academic English. A bit about myself: I'm a Hong Kong local born in 2005 who attended an international school from grade 4 onwards, and was raised in a local family. I graduated from Oxford with a top First in my year in History and Modern Languages. I taught literature, language, and translation for several years while completing a Doctorate. Afterwards, I worked full-time at Oxford as a Lecturer and organized admissions for Modern Languages for 6 years.
