Hello, my name is Nicholas. I am from the UK, and a native English speaker with a British accent. I am now permanently based in Hong Kong. I have worked at an International Primary school, a renowned Education Centre in Central, and private home based teaching. I have done thousands of hours of online teaching. In Hong Kong, I have taught many school-age students and can help students with preparation for oral and written exams, or work on improving their foundation in English. I have taught adults in general English, and used my prior experience and insights as a International Sales Director to teach business English. Prior to taking on a new student, I will want to assess their current standard and future needs so I can plan what to teach. My preference is for online teaching, and I have a comprehensive library of lesson plans, and high quality online learning technology. While not suitable for everybody, I find that this method is very effective in terms of time and productivity both for teacher and students. I also run group classes for 3-4 students for different year levels. The aim of these classes is to improve English foundation skills. Students benefit from the interaction with teacher and other students, and by forming a group, the hourly fee can be much lower than 1-to-1 tutoring. If you are interested in this, let me know.
