A great teacher who is always supportive and very helpful. They explain concepts clearly, make learning engaging, and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure students understand the material.
My approach is to utilise experiences the students have in order to add passion to their work and to be creative.
I explain this by using speech and conversation to show and tell when to add punctuation, and to sound out words.
Firstly I will always read out to the students asking them to follow text with me. i would ask them to read thereafter and monitor/correct words they may struggle with.
By presenting daily situations and asking them to consider solutions to problems. Once they have done that, I would ask them to consider the outcome and consequences the solution may have.
Repetition and audio recording of their pronunciation to review and identify.
Building their confidence and ensuring the subject they may talk about is one they are familiar with.
Tenses Made Simple as an example. Problem "When do I use past perfect vs. simple past? Answer - Think of tenses as time travel. -Simple Past“I ate pizza.” (Done! ?) -Past Perfect“I had eaten pizza before she arrived. (The pizza-eating happened before another past action).
By getting them away from the academic side of learning and engaging in fun activities and games.
