I began studying piano, vocal music, and flute at the age of five. During my childhood, I was highly enthusiastic about participating in various performances and competitions. At the age of 17, I completed my diploma in piano performance and was awarded the Vocal Scholarship at the Auckland Best of the West Vocal Competition in the same year. Following this, I was invited by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, to pursue a double bachelor’s degree in Music (Honours) and Literature. After graduating, I continued my studies with a master’s degree in Music, majoring in Musicology. After returning to Hong Kong, I completed a professional certificate in Music Therapy and went on to earn a second master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, specializing in Orchestral Conducting. I have had the privilege of studying under many renowned teachers, including piano masters Tamas Vermas, Nan Gibson, and Li Ming Qiang; vocal masters Isabel Cunningham, Beatrice Webster, and Dr. Anthony Derek; and flute under Kate Lawson, principal of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In addition to my diplomas in piano and vocal performance, I hold a teaching certificate (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and have achieved Grade 8 in Pop Singing from Rockschool. In recent years, I have been actively involved in promoting public music activities, participating in community and charity performances, and serving as an adjudicator for important music competitions.

Teaching Vocals (Singing) and Piano for more than 9 years, I acquired my knowledge in Vocals and both Western and Eastern Theory from NAPA (National Academy of Performing Arts). During my time at NAPA, I groomed myself, grasped knowledge, and improved my musical skills. Furthermore, I pursued my education at Berklee College of Music in Boston where I graduated in Vocals and Western Music Theory. Additionally, I studied Audio Engineering at SAE in Dubai. I also completed a Vocals and Ear Training course at Berklee Abu Dhabi and was honored with a fellowship at Berklee College of Music.

I graduated from the Bachelor of Arts in Music program at Hong Kong Baptist University and have 3 years of experience teaching piano. In addition to teaching, I have experience accompanying students during exams and musicals in Hong Kong. I am currently active in Kowloon, but students from other districts are also welcome.

I have been teaching piano for over 12 years, working with students ranging from beginners to those preparing for ABRSM Grade 8. I trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and received my master's degree in music from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Freelance Musician Manila, Philippines – June 2010 to July 2017 As a freelance music teacher in the Philippines, I taught students in their own homes for 8 years. I have had students ranging from as young as 4 years old to as old as 45 years old, including one student whom I taught for 7 years. Most of my students progressed from beginner to advanced level. They have gone on to perform in musical concerts, play in different countries, and perform during family occasions. I conducted a recital every summer to showcase the progress of each student. Most of my students were foreigners. Abu Dhabi, UAE – Music Freelance Experience From 2019 to 2022, I worked part-time as a music teacher at GUSTO DJ Music Instruments, where I taught violin, guitar, and piano to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Since 2022, I have been working full-time as a freelance music teacher. From February 2022 to 2026, I have been teaching 20 students from various schools, many of whom actively participate in performances. Two of my Singaporean piano students recently achieved distinction in their Initial and Grade 1 exams in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Additionally, one of my guitar students successfully progressed from the Initial level to Grade 4. As a freelancer, I conduct after-school lessons starting from 4:00 p.m. onwards, providing personalized instruction tailored to each student's needs and goals.
