Hello. I'm John. And I am from Sta. Rosa, Laguna. I learned to play the piano since my 6th grade 11 years ago and am still playing up to this day. I learned it all by myself (I did not have a teacher), so I understand the struggle. I specialize on chords from beginner level up to Intermediate-Pro. Although I can also teach notes, but it would require a lot of personal practice time reading/playing sheets from the learner. I hope to work with you on your musical journey.

I was born in Hong Kong and am a classically trained pianist. I graduated from the Academy of Music at Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Music (Directed Studies Concentration), majoring in piano under the guidance of Mr. Hung Chong and Professor Yoonie Han, a Steinway Concert & Recording Artist and Steinway Honorary Teacher. I also studied harpsichord with Professor David Chung, an artist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic.

I completed my accordion studies in Greece. I have been teaching piano and chromatic accordion—both Stradella and free bass systems—for more than 20 years. I teach students of all levels and offer a varied repertoire, including tangos, folk music, musettes, classical, and jazz. I believe the accordion is a wonderful instrument, and I am committed to promoting its potential. I always strive to make my students’ learning experience positive by including pieces they enjoy, playing duets, and helping them overcome the challenges of learning an instrument.
