I am an American educator who has worked as an ESL teacher - and in more recent years as an accent modification coach - with students from all over the world for more than two decades, of all levels and age groups. I love getting to know people from different places in the world and helping them to achieve greater personal and professional success by learning to sound more like a native speaker of American English. I especially love to see the look of surprise on my students' faces when they finally realize why they are having communication failures and understand that there really is something they can do about it. I am a female teacher with over 15 years of experience as a full-time tutor in English, Chinese, and Math. I hold a master’s degree and a certificate in education.

I hold a Master's Degree in Architecture and I practice the profession, with a base in Kwazulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg) and the Eastern Cape (King William's Town). I am also a certified TEFL teacher with specialties in Business English, Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and IELTS exam preparation. I am currently learning French and German for the purpose of further studies in the engineering fields. I prefer online tutoring, although I am able to do in-person lessons upon request.
