Hello, my name is Yulia, and I am originally from Russia. I studied in China, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature and also studied English as a second language. Recently, I completed another bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management at Hochschule München, where English was widely used during my studies. I have several years of international teaching experience. I worked as an English teacher in China for five years, and I have also taught in Russia and Germany. During this time, I worked with children and teenagers aged 5 to 18, both in schools and through private lessons. My lessons focus on improving speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and confidence in using English in everyday situations.

I am a 28-year-old physics master's degree student at TUM. I earned my Bachelor's degree in theoretical physics from Egypt's most prestigious university, Zewail City of Science and Technology, which was founded by the 1999 Chemistry Nobel Laureate Ahmed H. I hold a Master degree in TEFL and Social Pedagogy from the Kyiv Teacher Training Institute of Foreign Languages and a Master degree in English Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. My teaching experience includes delivering courses of General English to mixed age groups of learners of all levels, as well as conducting in-company courses of General and Business English, as well as exam preparation courses. Hi, I am Gabrielle! I am an Actuarial and Applied Maths graduate student from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. I pursued my associate degree in Actuarial Science at Macquarie University afterward, and now I have been working full time in the actuarial industry for almost 5 years. I love teaching and want to continue helping students enjoy Mathematics :) Mathematics has been one of my favorite subjects since high school, and that's the reason why I am still excited to tutor in my spare time. I want to help students reach their best potential in Maths. When I was in junior high school, I started to give lessons to a few of my friends in various subjects such as Science, Math, and Mandarin. It was the first step for me towards realizing that I love teaching. After I graduated from junior high school, I looked for a more challenging job, which was being a tutor outside the school environment. For two years, I taught students in general subjects but mostly in Mathematics. I got an opportunity after I graduated from senior high school to be an Assistant Teacher in one of the schools in my hometown. I was excited about that, so I took that job during my holiday months. I was responsible for grades 10, 11, and 12 as a Maths Assistant Teacher, and it was such an incredibly amazing experience for me. I graduated with a GPA of 9.3 from the UNSW Foundation Studies Program. I was a finalist in the Mathematics Olympiad Science National in 2009. I was also a finalist in the Astronomy Olympiad Science National in 2011.

I use humor, music, and popular media to help students learn English quickly. I cater lessons to the interests of every student. I live in Munich. I studied international relations (BA) at City College of New York (CUNY) studying World Bank/International Monetary Fund environmental policy. MA degree in sociology from Humboldt State University exploring how climate change affects prisons. I trained and worked as a television journalist at Globalvision Inc., New York City. Freelance producer, editor, camera and audio tech at ABC News, CNN, CBS, Reuters, Wall Street Journal Television. Researcher for US Surgeon General's office and Department of Justice. Currently a writer, photographer and video producer at High Times Magazine, Revista Cáñamo, Vice and Cannabis Now Magazine.
