I was born in Moscow in 1987 and began my academic adventure at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. There I specialized in theoretical and experimental physics. After four intensive semesters, however, I felt that my true passion lay elsewhere. I decided to change my subject and moved to Germany to study business mathematics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. This decision turned out to be the right one and I was able to graduate in 2021 with a grade of “good”. During my studies, I discovered my passion for teaching by giving private tutoring on an irregular basis. These experiences developed my teaching skills and sharpened my deep understanding of how to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand lessons. The more I dedicated myself to teaching, the stronger my commitment to it became. Finally, in 2021, I made the decision to turn my passion into a career. I am a 28-year-old physics master's degree student at TUM. I earned my Bachelor's degree in theoretical physics from Egypt's most prestigious university, Zewail City of Science and Technology, which was founded by the 1999 Chemistry Nobel Laureate Ahmed H. Zewail. I received a full scholarship for my studies, so mathematics is like my everyday language. I have previously worked for Quizler, Numerade, and Livingston for a total of 4 years. Hello! My name is Yiran (Alex) and I'm a Bachelor math student that currently resides in Munich, and I love working with kids from the middle to high schools and improve their math skills, to say the least. :) I would be willing to spend quite a lot of time in preparing for the tutoring session as well as following them up. In general, I try my best to explain concepts down to the very basics and most importantly, build up their confidence in mathematics and problem-solving skills in general! :)

As a PhD student in virology, I am dedicated to making biology easier for you. My work towards finding solutions for viruses and preparing for pandemics has only deepened my passion for this field.
