I hold a Master's Degree in Architecture and I practice the profession, with a base in Kwazulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg) and the Eastern Cape (King William's Town). I am also a certified TEFL teacher with specialties in Business English, Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and IELTS exam preparation. I am currently learning French and German for the purpose of further studies in the engineering fields. Being a language student myself, I am convinced of the importance of the relationship between language acquisition and academic (and even professional) endeavors as a necessary component for successful career pathing in our contemporary globalized and increasingly globalizing world. Given my academic and career background in English and Architecture, I am equipped to teach Architecture to undergraduates and postgraduates who are either English proficient learners or speakers of English as a foreign language. For speakers of English as a foreign language, I am able to integrate the teaching of language with the teaching of content. I prefer online tutoring, although I am able to do in-person lessons upon request. My teaching approach is rigorous, yet stimulating engagements with content, always with the intention to inspire and equip learners for the real world of business and academia.
