In this capacity, I continued to drive progress throughout the department through the sharing of best practices with non-specialist teachers and the department as a whole. In addition to improving academic progress each year, I developed the school’s STEM opportunities through extracurricular Crest awards and organized a residential trip to CERN in Geneva, where students had the opportunity to see one of the particle accelerators up close. I am an aspiring biotech entrepreneur who is passionate about the ability of science and technology to improve lives. Currently, I am working in a biotechnology startup in Science Park. Outside biotech, I am teaming up with my siblings and working on a project (SaferU) to tackle the rates of sexual harassment and domestic violence in Sri Lanka.
