Having been through the Scottish school system, I know first hand how difficult High School exams can be. I currently hold a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree from the University of St Andrews, and I am continuing studying at the University of Edinburgh. During High School, I received straight As and took Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology to Advanced Higher level. I was awarded prizes for highest S5 attainment, as well as top in the country for Higher Chemistry and Advanced Higher Physics. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a true passion for teaching others and sharing knowledge. Flexible and willing to work at an appropriate pace, whilst also pushing hard to get the desired results.

Hi there! My name is Saffron and I am a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Mathematics, where I received a 2:1. At A-Level I achieved an A* in Mathematics and A in Further Maths, I also received an A* in Mathematics at GCSE level. During the sixth form, I have gained extensive tutoring experience. I spent my free hours as a teacher’s assistant to a GCSE maths class, where I help to aid the students with anything they were struggling with. I gained a great deal of satisfaction from helping them improve their grades and truly enjoyed the journey as a whole. I also used to run an after-school physics club for Year 5 pupils. This shows my ability to work effectively with students of all ages. During my Year 11 summer, I undertook a volunteering project in Nicaragua where I taught basic Maths and English to underprivileged primary school pupils. These areas are then worked on specifically until full competence is shown. This means a typical lesson is made up of half general past paper, and half specific topic. Being a current serving GCSE Maths teacher, I have a wealth of up to date resources and curriculum/exam knowledge allowing me to focus tuition on exactly what is required to maximise results.
