The classes with Chikako are very interesting and super fun! Learning a new language, specially one with different roots and different alphabet to the ones I already know, is not an easy nor quick task, but the lessons with Chikako make it feel so smooth and fun to learn. She feeds my curiosity and allows for a very nice flow of ideas, questions and answers, making me want to study and learn more so we can continue moving forward The road to be able to speak and understand Japanese is long ahead of us, but I'm very happy and excited to have found her as my teacher, couldn't have asked for somebody better and I'm sure it will continue to be an amazing experience!

Chikako’s teaching style is very easy to follow. She begins with the basics and gradually builds up to everyday conversations by connecting each topic step by step. She’s patient, never makes us feel overwhelmed, and makes learning a new language truly enjoyable.

Chikako sensei is an excellent tutor. I have been taking conversational Japanese lessons with Chikako sensei for a few weeks, and have been thoroughly impressed with the pace of progression, and her ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner for a beginner like myself to understand. My goal has been to learn conversational Japanese, and each lesson has been very focused on practical vocabulary and sentence structure to help me achieve this. I’ve always been interested in learning Japanese, and my lessons with Chikako sensei have been nothing short of spectacular. Our lessons each week are definitely highlights that I look forward to! I started learning Japanese with the Gojūon. Now I can read simple articles and chat with Sensei in simple Japanese. Chikako Sensei always prepares fruitful content for us in every class. Fluent in English, that is very easy to communicate and ask vocabularies/grammar questions to Chikako San. Furthermore her class is engaging. She is often smiling and patient with her explanations. I recommend her!

Chikako san is very attentive to what we need, she has a tailor made plan for each student as she understands each student has different needs. My interest of learning Japanese is revoking on conversation, be able to communicate comfortably in Japanese esp during travel is my priority. I am so grateful that with Chikako san’s help, I am making progress along the way. I particularly appreciate her effort in establishing individual learning target/ plan for me, allowing me to enjoy the leaning in a non traditional way.
