You get what you pay for.

While some may view my hourly rate as an expense, many parents see it as an investment due to my teaching experience, degrees, qualifications, and expertise as a professional educator.

I also provide clients with summaries of tutoring sessions, including session assessments and recommendations for further academic development.

The first session is "free" if you choose not to retain me as a tutor. However, if you do wish to continue, I require payment for four sessions in advance before our second session together. (Note: This payment will cover the first "free" session and the following three sessions.)

I am not a big fan of assigning homework, though at the same time, I'm not against the practice of any skill for the purpose of improvement. Homework can also be a good time to catch up on an in-class assignment. However, I rely on class time for learning, and use a spiral-review method for reviewing previously taught information for mastery of content.

I use empathy and am always assessing. For example, I am always looking for feedback. If something I'm trying does not engage a student, or frustrates them, I look for clues to tell me so, and I will adapt my methods.
