I am from the UK (England), and the main subject I teach is English. English is my mother tongue, and I took it at HL first language in IB and achieved the highest mark (7/7) for the subject. I am available for in person lessons and online in most HK locations. I am currently studying LLB at HKU.

I am a fourth-year student at an Education University, majoring in Primary School English Education. I grew up in Singapore and served in the emergency ambulance service for several years before changing career paths to teaching. I am a well-read, multicultural individual. My longest-running students are two Mainland boys currently in Grades 5 and 8 who are attending the Singapore International School (SISHK). During the current Covid pandemic I am teaching online using Zoom as well as providing limited face to face classes. I am a native English speaking graduate with a Bachelor Degree in History from the The University of Liverpool. I completed a TEFL 120-hour programme before I started my teaching journey over 6 years ago, where I learnt many valuable teaching techniques which has allowed me to develop a solid teaching ethos and style . I have mainly spoken English throughout my entire life. However, my skill in the language increased dramatically from the moment I set foot in Edinburgh, Scotland for the first time back in 2015 to receive my high school education. After spending 7 years there and graduating, my English skills have become excellent. Several friends have even told me that I speak English as well, if not better, than the native speakers there. For these reasons, I believe I am more than equipped to teach English at any level. However, I do feel particularly suited to teaching beginners and young kids due to my background of teaching youth baseball at YMCA Shatin.
