あなたへの質問

Q: What is your success rate with past students who have learned German after working with you?

Most of my students improved their performace at school, a lot of them had a succesful trios to Germany and Austria, some of the passed Goethe-Institute tests ans started their studies in Germany.

Q: How do you measure progress and track student performance in German?

My students receive homework, we work on their mistakes and progress together, they get written asiggments and tests via email. They also send me their essays and prepare oral stories, after that I ask them questions.

Q: How do you help students develop communication skills in German, both in writing and speaking?

I encourage students make their own sentences and write stories on different topics, we have conversations and I help them make questions for me and other students. We play vocabulary games. They read a lot and memorize actual phrases and structures in order to use them in speech.

Q: What is your approach to teaching German grammar, and how do you help students understand and use it correctly?

I explain grammar in English and if students have some other language background, I can explain it through Spanish, Russian, Italian, Latin an etc. perspective. I give them a lot of examples, comparisons and sentences from actual contexts to see how to use this grammar. I encourage them to produce similar structures or forms and acquire patterns. They also say everything aloud which helps memorize.

Q: Can you discuss your experience with using technology in teaching German, such as online tools or language-learning apps?

My students use different online tools for homework suck as picture quizzes, flash cards, Duo Linguo to review stuff in a relaxed and fun manner.

Q: Can you discuss your experience with teaching students of different ages and proficiency levels in German?

I have a wide range students from 5 to 86. I alsways take their age inti account, for example young learners do not write and read yet, they learns playing somwe use songs, games, short funny stories and riddles. Older learners sometimes have difficulties using modern online tools so I use the old fashioned white board to explain grammar and vocabulary phenomena. When students are beginners, I repeat a lot and encourage to ask them questions, I go slowly over difficult grammar stuff and use a lot of examples to explain. I ask them to repest everything aloud. Advanced students get a lot of reading and listening homework and have a discussions with me or preapare essays or reports.

Q: How do you incorporate cultural elements into your lessons for German, such as traditions and customs?

I have my Slavic background, I am also very familiar with European languages and traditions and Middle Easterns customs so I use communicative method with intercultural focus. We talk and read a lot about Arabic, African, South American elements in the language and discuss events from different perspectives.

Q: What is your approach to teaching German vocabulary, and how do you help students build their vocabulary knowledge?

I encourage my students memorize vocabulary in phrases and put them into soeech because modern methodisc says: we do not learn WORDS, we learns PHRASES and PATTERNS, we also match words with pictures, play different vocabulary games. I teach them how to guess from the context.
