I am an English teacher available for online tutoring. I am from the UK and have over ten years´ experience as a teacher, editor and freelance journalist. I successfully passed my English PhD viva in July 2019. Prior to that I transferred to my PhD from a Masters in English in 2016, the same year my PhD creative element was longlisted for the Bridport Prize for a debut novel. I achieved a first class honours degree in creative and professional writing in 2007. I tutor all abilities, from non-speakers to those looking to improve their English and writing skills. I have worked with primary, secondary and university age students and have access to resources for iPGCE, IB, IELTS and many more. I gained a First Class Honours degree (graduated top of class) from Royal Holloway, University of London and I received an offer to study a Masters at Cambridge University before coming to Hong Kong for my PhD at HKU. I have experience tutoring IELTS for university students and assisting with improving higher education and university applications. With the use of a laptop and screen sharing software, it is like I am sat next to you, but with the convenience of being able to have tutoring at a time and place convenient to you. Hi. I'm a tutor with 10 years experience tutoring English, History and Psychology working in West Yorkshire and Manchester. More recently I've worked as an English Lecturer at a further education college, having taken a year off from study where I'm training to be a Speech and Language Therapist.
