I have been teaching Science and English for 14 years. Currently, I am connected to one of the international schools in Chiang Mai.

My name is Gesine. I’m originally from Germany but live in the Bahamas now. I also have a bachelor's degree in business administration from AKAD University in Kiel. After many years of working in the corporate world of banking as well as medical aid administration on a senior level, I decided to hang up my managerial hat and try something different. I did a sailing course and crossed the Atlantic numerous times, working on charter boats and learning about different cultures along the way. I love teaching languages and sharing my knowledge of western cultures with my students aged 12 years and older. As a Sports Coach, I have taught children aged 12-18 years how to paddle a kayak. Currently, I specialize in teaching business professionals English online. In my lessons, I concentrate on discussing fun and interesting topics to make the learning process more enjoyable. I am a TESOL Certified trainer of ESL and IELTS with experience in teaching English both online and in classroom. I am an MBA who worked in the corporate world for few years but ultimately found my passion in teaching world. My methodology to teach is through visual cues and mind maps, and my students love it. My lessons are never monotonous and boring; but they are interactive and lively !

I am a graduate of Ryerson University from Toronto, Canada, and I am currently living in Bangkok, around the Lat Phrao area. As a Thai-Canadian who is fluent in both languages, I am confident in my ability to tutor and guide my students. My goal is to improve their listening/reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, pronunciation skills, as well as other skills they need to help them feel more confident in their abilities. While I believe in learning through conventional methods, I also believe that students need to enjoy the topic they are learning. I am an American citizen, and I currently live and reside in Enschede, Netherlands. I am currently a freelance English language consultant and a fully qualified and certified English as a Foreign Language (ESL) teacher. I also work as a language consultant for clinical trials taking place in Europe and the USA.
