I am currently a university student earning my degree towards Bachelors of Drama, Theatre and Performance. I am studying in University of Sussex (Brighton, United Kingdom). Before this, I studied in Marymount Secondary School, known for their high EMI standards - I earned a DSE 5* in English Language and 8 in IELTS. I have experience in teaching as an international youth theatre and drama teacher in Hong Kong for two years (mainly 3-11 year olds), co-hosting in workshops that focus on English articulation, speaking, expression, confidence, fluency, volume, and more. I am able to engage with children in my classes in a fun, exciting manner that will cater to your child's interests and pursuits. I provide online one-on-one Zoom classes that will keep your child engaged at a home setting, and target their ongoing progress with their English language development. At a crucial time such as now, it is my goal to provide your child with consistent exposure to the English Language as they enhance their fluency skills through online means.

I am a qualified teacher with a Level 6 Diploma in Teaching. I have also acquired a 120-Hour TEFL Certification. I've been a teacher for 15 years. I have taught learners aged 3-6 years and am currently teaching 5-6-year-olds. My hobbies include puzzles, drawing, cooking, and playing video games, among others. Language barriers are very common in my classroom due to most of my learners' home languages being IsiXhosa and Afrikaans, while being placed in an English class. I have assisted in teaching English to many of my students, and I have seen them improve their English skills and gain confidence in speaking English. Making mistakes is a necessary part of learning, and everything takes time and is a process. Nothing happens overnight. When learning a new language, patience is essential. With me guiding and teaching you, along with your complete dedication, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
