My name is Sonia, and I am a fully qualified teacher who is passionate about helping others. I have worked as a teacher in primary and secondary schools across the UK and abroad. Through these experiences, I came to realize my desire to focus on supporting students with reaching their goals beyond mainstream education. With this in mind, I recently made the decision to dedicate myself to becoming a full-time tutor, six years after embarking on this path. I am incredibly passionate about education, and I take great pride in tailoring the learning experience of each student to their specific needs. Every lesson I design is purposeful and aimed at helping them take one step closer towards achieving their goals, whatever those goals may be! Throughout my teaching career, I have helped numerous students achieve high grades in 11+, SATS, as well as in the subjects of Maths, Science, and English in general.

I have mainly spoken English throughout my entire life. However, my skill in the language increased dramatically from the moment I set foot in Edinburgh, Scotland for the first time back in 2015 to receive my high school education. After spending 7 years there and graduating, my English skills have become excellent. Several friends have even told me that I speak English as well, if not better, than the native speakers there. For these reasons, I believe I am more than equipped to teach English at any level. However, I do feel particularly suited to teaching beginners and young kids due to my background of teaching youth baseball at YMCA Shatin.
