Hi, I'm Teacher Mae from the Philippines! I have been a teacher for over 7 years I have acquired a TEFL certificate or Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My expertise in teaching is both for adults and young learners. I am a mom of two adorable kids! I am also their teacher at home that makes it more fun to teach young learners because I treat my students as my kids too! And I enjoy having free talk conversations with topics about food, travel, education and anything interesting to the students. Teaching English is one of the things I enjoy the most. It gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and be able to know the culture of others, because I believe that building a strong connection to the students is one of the keys to keep the lesson interesting to them. It's not only about grammar or making better sentences but also about chances to speak up and be heard by others. Everyone can learn English and speak English with! Studying in international schools has helped me attain a good command over English by participating in various spelling bee competitions. My previous work experience was as a voice actor for an American-based company, where I was tasked with providing audios in an American accent. I graduated high school with a Commerce with Psychology background and achieved a 4.0 GPA. I would love to work as a tutor to those in need of improving their English skills. Living and learning in Bangkok, Thailand has opened my eyes to many new experiences with Canadian and British teachers. I would be grateful to pass on the knowledge I possess to those who can excel in their careers with it.
