Haishun Yin currently completed her master’s courses of TESOL at the University of Auckland and she is developing her teaching skills in New Zealand as an ESOL and IELTS teacher. She has nine years’ teaching experience in a vocational college. She started voluntary ESOL teaching work in English Language Partners from December of 2019 was awarded the certificate of teaching as a home tutor in New Zealand. She is a capable and conscientious teacher who is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest methodologies for teaching bilingual and international students.

I am an English and philosophy teacher with over a decade of experience, currently living in Hong Kong. My qualifications include a degree in English, PGCE, MPhil, and MSc from Trinity College Dublin. Greetings. I have been teaching English full-time for 30+ years, the last 13 in Hong Kong as a NET under the Hong Kong Government NET Scheme. I was born in New Zealand (British accent) and am now Australian. I have regular Hong Kong students from local as well as international schools and am fully conversant with the Hong Kong curriculum as well as that taught in the Hong Kong international schools. I can provide excellent references from my current and past Hong Kong students (two of whom have been studying with me for four years). Several of my past students are now attending UK and Australian universities. I get results! I offer a free 'getting to know you' lesson as it is important that there is a good match between tutor and student. I specialize in literature, grammar, IELTS preparation, and conversation exam preparation. I also tutor history and hold an Honours degree in English and History. I was Head of English for many years at my Australian school before relocating to Hong Kong. I am delighted to be able to teach you or your child English! I am deeply passionate about English, having recently finished my Honours degree in English literature, and hope one day to become an academic in English. Currently I live in Sumner, New Zealand, and am happy to teach in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. I am happy to teach English either as a school or university subject, or as a second language, depending on your needs. I have experience teaching a variety of different age groups, including NCEA preparation and primary level English. I have received immensely positive feedback.
