Hi, I'm Faisal Ali, an IELTS specialist and an ESL teacher. Currently, I'm here in Thailand exploring the beautiful and unique city of Bangkok. My wife, Gabrielle, and I have designed this course for our students in such a way that they can become ready in a limited amount of time. Speaking of experience, I have 6 years of experience teaching IELTS face to face and online classes. I have taught and helped numerous students from different nationalities achieve bands ranging from 6.5 to 8, depending on students' cooperation and their abilities to pick up. So, our students can easily achieve the scores they wish for. I have spent many years teaching ESL English and IELTS Preparation in England, Pakistan, and now in Thailand! I have a unique way of teaching phonics to young learners through a fun and enthusiastic manner. I love kids and am passionate about teaching them English through various interesting methods that can result in a great bond and a positive learning environment. I have been teaching English for the past 6 years in Queenstown. My reputation and achievements precede me. I have assisted students in achieving good grades for matric re-writes, and have also helped university students who struggle with expressing and decoding information in English, with great success. My strength comes from a long-standing interest and study in Literature, which helped me earn my Masters in Applied Communication Management at the University of Fort Hare in Alice, Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Over the years of tutoring English, I have noticed that most of my learners are: 1) afraid of using the language on a daily basis, which is crucial for better understanding and getting used to the language. 2) have the ability to read the language but find it difficult to decode the information communicated. 3) tend to indulge in direct translation, thinking in their native language and directly translating the information into English. 4) struggle with spellings and literature. These observations have led me to develop tactics essential to assist my learners who come from diverse demographics. I begin by creating a friendly environment to break the ice, ensuring that my learners understand that it is not only their success, but mine as well, if by the end of our one-on-one interactions they achieve their intended goals.

My experience has been that one-to-one personal tuition has a unique value to students because of the ability to resolve the student's personal barriers to learning in a way that lays the foundations for a deep and long-lasting understanding of the subject.

My journey as an English educator began with an Honors Degree in Communication, followed by a TEFL Master's Certificate, equipping me with a strong academic foundation. Along the way, I honed my expertise in IELTS preparation and English exam assessments, ensuring my students receive the highest quality guidance in their academic pursuits. A lifelong lover of reading and creative writing, I embraced the opportunity to teach English Literature, AP Literature, and Composition—a passion that led me to China. My first two years were spent teaching ESL to adults, where I was introduced to IELTS, one of the most recognized exams for university admissions in Western countries. To better support my students, I earned two specialized IELTS teaching certifications. The true highlight of my time in China was seven years dedicated to teaching senior high school students the intricacies of English literature. This experience deepened my appreciation for classical literature and poetry while allowing me to guide my students toward academic success. My dedication and mentorship earned their trust and respect, and I took immense pride in helping many of them secure offers from top Western universities such as New York University, Cambridge University, and many more. Together, we’ll navigate the vast world of AP Literature, Honors English, GCSE/IGCSE, and IELTS preparation.
