I have 8+ years experience tutoring English of all levels in both Hong Kong and London, and have worked particularly closely with students from HK International Schools (HKIA, SIS, CIS) and Francis Holland School in London. I have previously taught English to students aged 4 to 36+, and have guided them through GCSE/IB/ A-levels as well as TOEFL/IELTS examinations. Personally, I hold a bachelors and masters of biomedical science from University College London, and Kings College London. I am now completing my PhD Candidature in neuroscience in the University of Hong Kong. With my diverse experience, I believe I can help you.

I'm originally from England but have spent most of my adult life in Hong Kong where I have an impressive string of successes in writing competitions, winning me over $40,000HKD and resulting in my stories being made into radio productions. I have a thorough background in academic writing, co-authoring books on Chinese philosophy, history and physiology. As a private tutor I have overseen the development of several children and professionals throughout crucial junctions in their lives; Sometimes preparing interviews in some of the top schools in the world. I have taken pride in developing my own worksheets and lessons, which I feel are both more effective and more interesting than many commercially available English textbooks. I also encourage my students to write 'novels', which we will have produced into paperback form.

In all teaching and learning areans, it takes two hands to clap. While the teacher is willing to impart knowledge and skills, the learner needs to be motivated and have initiatives.
