I am an English Tutor who has lived in Hong Kong since 1994. I returned to Australia for the last three years of school and to attend Griffith University. I have broad experience teaching English to kindergarten children, aged 3-10, from a range of backgrounds, and have tutored students up to the age of 16. I have just finished my PGCE at the University of Sunderland, specialising in teachingprimary students. I enjoy teaching and believe that the knowledge, skills, and attitudes I have gained over the last few years have allowed me to provide quality one-on-one tutoring. Most of my life has been spent in Hong Kong, where I have gone to school, taught, and tutored over a seven-year period. My connection and understanding of Hong Kong has given me insights into the education system and its importance to students and parents. My experience tutoring across Hong Kong has taken me into the homes of many local students who learn in a bilingual and international environment. English can be intimidating for non-native speakers. I noticed many learners feel insecure about their accent and grammar. I've had my fair share of embarrassment trying to speak English, but now I'm proud to say that those problems are behind me.
