I have been teaching in an international school for over 10 years. Through my past experience, I have developed a specific child-centered approach to my teaching. I aspire to make my lessons innovative, accessible, and engaging for every pupil. I don't generalize the way things are taught or performed but allow flexibility in every aspect of learning. Children need to be allowed to progress in the most effective way for them to achieve. It's about bringing the best out of every pupil. My approach optimizes the child’s behavior and unlocks their learning potential. During my time working at an international school, I have been involved in developing systems to help improve the development of the children alongside colleagues and parents. I have been responsible for writing and communicating with parents about the school curriculum, supporting local charities with social events, and writing articles for the city newspaper promoting education to the local community. I enjoyed this so much that I have helped co-write a book which is for sale on Amazon called “Being a Teacher – Teaching and learning in a global context.” In the classroom, I teach EYFS, but I also try to incorporate the Montessori Method, which I learned from other teachers during training seminars and Montessori workshops. I pride myself on having a classroom that is welcoming, with an interactive environment where children feel happy, safe, and encouraged to explore and develop as confident, independent learners.

My name is Alan and I am a native speaker of English from Australia. I have traveled the world in my life and have a great understanding of many different cultures. Both of my daughters are also English high school teachers, with the eldest speaking 5 different languages and the younger one speaking 4 and teaching languages at her high school. My students will have the opportunity to visit South Korea with me for one day every 2 months, where available. My interests are golf and photography, and I am able to help students with these interests. I am Australian born and bred, but I am now residing in Vietnam where I offer my services to many underprivileged children for the betterment of their lives. My clear American accent started since I was 4 years old while living with my parents in the United States of America, although they are US citizens but I chose to return to Thailand and succeeded my bachelors in Science of Pharmacy from Chiangmai University. As I am a registered pharmacist but teaching brings joy to me every single time, so 4 years of teaching pharmacy students and nearly two years of home tutoring students age 4.5 to 9 years old gave me more and more teaching skills on matters of engagement and core lesson.
