I have been teaching and tutoring English language and literature for several years. I have prepared pupils for GCSE and A level exams as well as language exams. I deal with every aspect of the language; comprehension, grammar, spelling, punctuation; oral and written skills. My enthusiasm for the subject is usually passed on to my pupils and they achieve very good results. I like the challenge when someone has been given low grades at school. They are quite surprised by their improvement after a few weeks. Literature has always been my main interest. I studied it at university and my aim is to help pupils see the beauty of the written word and show them how much fun reading is. I have never met a 'hopeless' pupil; maybe the method was not the right one. I am patient and strict at the same time. My priority is always the pupil's progress. I live in Wolverhampton and I am happy to teach at the pupil's house or online.
