TEFL certified tutor from the United States who is enthusiastic about teaching and meeting each student at their current English comprehension level. I aim to use innovative methods to work with each student to maximize their learning styles. Depending on the learning needs and goals of the student, I can prepare them for English language standardized tests by emphasizing grammar and vocabulary or helping students focus on pronunciation and comprehension (listening, writing, speaking). I am based in Bangkok, but I can also tutor virtually.

I am an IDP-certified IELTS teacher with experience as a part-time teacher at prestigious high schools in Bangkok and as a lecturer at well-regarded universities in Thailand. Since 2017, I have prepared countless students to enter their ideal universities.

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2010 with a 2.1 in English Literature. After that? I qualified as a teacher in 2012 and have since worked in the UK and internationally. I have recently located back to the UK and have some availability for tutoring. In my post recent post, I worked as a Deputy Head Teacher with responsibility for curriculum. I specialise in the teaching of all core subjects but am particularly passionate about the teaching of phonics, reading and writing. I have worked with many students for SAT preparation and other statutory assessments. I am available for home tutoring in local areas, but available for online tutoring nationwide. Depending on the student's needs, tutoring may be delivered one to one or as part of a group session.

To better support my students, I earned two specialized IELTS teaching certifications. The true highlight of my time in China was seven years dedicated to teaching senior high school students the intricacies of English literature. This experience deepened my appreciation for classical literature and poetry while allowing me to guide my students toward academic success. My dedication and mentorship earned their trust and respect, and I took immense pride in helping many of them secure offers from top Western universities such as New York University, Cambridge University, and many more.
