I am a Special Education Teacher trained in teaching students with special needs like Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, and Learning Disability or Dyslexia. I am currently specializing in reading interventions and teaching students with reading and writing struggles. In the past, I taught in some inclusive schools in the Philippines, such as The Learning Child School in Ayala, Alabang, and International School Manila in Bonifacio Global City. While I recognize the benefits of tutoring, I still believe that it should not be forever. At some point in the students' life, they should learn how to be independent learners. To achieve that, I also prioritize teaching study skills like metacognition, planning, organizing, prioritizing, and other executive functions to help students be efficient and productive learners. Furthermore, I love reading, so I encourage students to read and read and read. Based on my experience, it takes only one book to spark the love of reading in an individual, and I would be happy to help students find that book for themselves. I believe that reading could make students love studying. For the subject matter, I am trained in using tools and methods to make topics and concepts easy to understand for learners with different abilities. I am an expert in dissecting ideas and skills to build a good foundation of knowledge among students in different areas like Reading, Math, and Science.
