I graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, majoring in accounting and finance. I obtained a good GPA throughout university and maintained a GPA above 3.5 in high school. I completed the Alberta high school curriculum, which has helped me become proficient in English. During the weekdays, I work in the financial services industry and am currently obtaining my licenses. My first tutoring experience was tutoring basic mathematics to children in Cambodia. I believe that a strong future requires a positive mindset towards academics, at least for most people. Hey! My name is Elijah and i am Qualified in A level English Language, i am very comfortable teaching and assisting at KS2 & KS3 levels. I am very confident in teaching Basic English to those interested in learning the language (A1 -A2). I have a great understanding in the KS2 & 3 English language curriculum and sufficient knowledge and understanding of sub topics such as: KS3 - Spelling punctuation and Grammar. - Essay writing. How to collect the required evidence from a text. - Approaching exams with a complete structure on how to answer these questions, for example; Point, Evidence, Terminology, Explanation and Reader effect. KS2 - Writing Paragraphs. - Learning Punctuation and how to apply it. - Developing the Habits of reading and writing. I am based in Birmingham and i am very comfortable in teaching online at any time of day through tools like Skype and Google meets, my aim is to make the lessons enjoyable and engaging. I am a competitive person myself and will also use tools like Kahoot to mentally challenge students and push them to be their best!
