I am a mathematics PhD and former academic returning to teaching after a successful career in financial services. I offer tuition in both Mathematics and Latin. My mathematical background includes studying both pure and applied mathematics at Cambridge, followed by obtaining a PhD in applied mathematics and conducting two years of postdoctoral research at Oxford. My research, which has been published in five peer-reviewed papers, focused on differential and integral equations as well as fluid dynamics. Throughout my academic career, I tutored extensively in mathematics at all levels up to undergraduate, primarily through university arrangements but also privately. While working in financial services, I continued informal tutoring by helping friends' children with A-levels and university exams, as well as teaching my own children. I have successfully tutored two of my children in Latin (a subject not offered at their school) up to GCSE/AS-level. In teaching Latin, I emphasize the importance of mastering grammar and vocabulary while understanding the language's underlying structure. In mathematics, I focus on applied maths at the degree level or anything at the A-level. For Latin, I can teach anything up to A-level. I typically prefer to work remotely but can consider alternatives, including using my own premises where I have a dedicated room for teaching.

Probability and Statistics: Probability problems infer conclusions about characteristics of hypothetical data taken from the population. Probability explains the mathematical chance that something might happen, and is used in numerous day- to-day applications. Calculus : We can find the (or global) minimum and maximum values of a function as well as the relative (or local) minimum and maximum values of a function. Differential Equation: Differential equations are applied to predict the world around us, and used in a wide variety of disciplines, from biology, economics, physics, chemistry and engineering. It has applications in exponential growth and decay model, Newton's law of cooling, and Circuit theory, e.t.c. I have teaching experience for more than 15 years. My students are from all corners of the globe, and of all ages. I also make them learn Mathematics in English, so that they can excel in future.
