Greetings to whoever reads this! I teach Mathematics, Science, English, History, and Literature. I am currently living in Quezon City, Metro Manila. I had learning difficulties growing up, which makes me more empathetic and understanding towards students. I can provide my students with a healthy and comfortable environment to study and learn, especially neurodivergent students who are very much welcome and accommodated in my classes. I believe that my teaching is effective as I have helped many struggling students improve their academic performance and have even had students who competed and won numerous academic competitions in the past.

I am a passionate and dedicated educator with an Honours degree in Education and extensive experience supporting learners across a wide range of academic levels. I specialise in English Language and Literature, with a strong focus on grammar development, reading comprehension, writing skills, and exam preparation. I also assist learners with English as an additional language, helping them build confidence in communication, sentence structure, and academic writing. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, I have worked with learners from primary school through to high school, including those preparing for formal assessments and examinations. My experience includes working within CAPS and IEB-aligned curricula, which allows me to effectively support learners who need structured academic guidance and targeted revision. My teaching style is patient, structured, and highly supportive. I believe that every learner has the ability to succeed when concepts are explained clearly and learning takes place in a safe and encouraging environment. I break down complex grammar and writing rules into simple, practical steps, making them easier to understand and apply. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs, ensuring that students remain engaged and actively involved in their learning process. One of the aspects that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt my teaching approach to different learning styles, including learners who may struggle with traditional classroom methods. I focus on building strong foundational skills while also developing critical thinking, language confidence, and independent learning strategies that benefit students beyond tutoring sessions. My goal is not only to help learners improve their marks, but also to help them develop confidence, clarity in communication, and a genuine understanding of the English language. I am a recent Economics grad from UCL. I have acquired more than 4 years of private tutoring experience alongside my academic pursuit, where I have previously taught students from the different curriculum, ranging from IB to GCE. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines Cebu, having achieved Latin honors as Cum Laude. I am fascinated by mathematics and education, and I spend a lot of my free time in those areas. I have had the opportunity to work with mathematics in various contexts such as IB, A level, IGCSE, AP, and SAT, successfully tutoring students of all levels from young learners to university acceptance. Additionally, I have authored textbooks for Oxford University Press and Haese Mathematics, and I am employed by IB as a senior examiner.
