Hi, my name is Oriana Tio Parahita Nainggolan, but you can call me Tio. I'm from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and I've been in Bangkok for 6 months pursuing my PhD program. I've been a piano teacher for over 20 years in Yogyakarta, and I am also a music lecturer at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta). I have experience teaching piano to students ranging from children (as young as 4 years old) to adults (up to 60 years old). I hold ABRSM certifications for grade 6 piano and grade 5 theory. I am a drummer and electronic music producer from Rome. I graduated from one of Europe’s most prestigious music colleges, the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, Italy. I hold a Bachelor's degree in drums and Jazz harmony, as well as a Master's degree in Pop/Rock music. During my studies, I had the privilege of learning from esteemed educators and performers in the drumming scene, including Daniele Chiantese, Gianni di Renzo, Roberto Gatto, and Claudio Mastracci. I also attended masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists such as Horacio el Negro Hernandez, Keith Carlock, Lenny White, and Peter Erskine. I have experience teaching both groups of students and individuals of all ages. My musical background is diverse, starting with a passion for Hard Rock/Heavy Metal and Progressive music. I played in various bands in Rome, touring and performing across Italy, Europe, and the United States. As my musical journey progressed, I delved deeper into studying jazz drummers and exploring different musical styles and cultures, from Latin Music to traditional Scottish drumming.
