Profile: Born in Hong Kong in 1994, Chan King Wa has been studying clarinet since he was 12 years old and studied with Hong Kong's famous clarinetist Martin Choy during his high school period. In 2015, Chan went to École Normale De Musique de Paris to engage in advanced studies of clarinet and chamber music with Ronald Van Spaendonck, Jean-marc Volta, and Chantal De Buchy. During his studies in Paris, Chan received full sponsorship from Musica Mundi to take part in a chamber music course in Brussels in 2017. After receiving his Master's Diploma, Chan successfully obtained a scholarship to pursue the Concertiste program and graduated from the École in 2019. As the winner of several national and international prizes (Concours "Les Cle D'or", Concours des Lyres et Arts, Concours artistique d'Epinal, Concours National De Musique de Lempdes), Chan has since performed worldwide (including France, Belgium, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea) and appeared as a soloist in famous concert halls such as the Mairie de Paris and various churches in Europe. He has also participated in music festivals and master classes. In 2019, Chan received his concertiste diploma with unanimous approval from the jury, which included international pianist David Lively, clarinetist Paul Mayer, and Pierre Génisso. He has started to develop his career in Hong Kong. In December 2020, Chan received an offer to be a clarinet instructor at the Hong Kong International Institute of Music and was invited to be the wind section coach of the New Hong Kong Philharmonia.

I have extensive experience in dealing with children and adults ranging from 4 years old to 65 years old. I believe music education is one of the best gifts to pass on to our next generation, as it helps not only instil musicality, but also encourages children to have broader views and thoughts, and be more empathetic towards others. I have over 25 years of experience performing professionally and composing, both as a front man of my band and as a solo artist. I began teaching a little over 5 years ago when people from my audience approached me for lessons. Prior to the pandemic, I was based in China, but currently, I play in a Hard Rock band in Thailand. What is more, I got the certificate of Special Educational Need in early childhood with the aims to assist the learning of children who have various learning difficulties. Recently, I mainly focus on teaching nursery music movement education ,phonics , piano lesson or any possible lessons , I am also interest in song composing and design ! I, Teacher Mary, a graduate from the UST Conservatory of Music with the degree of Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Emphasis in Voice. I teach one on one VOICE and PIANO lessons in Metro Manila. I also teaches a choir and also a music class. I am the music director of Sto. Niño de Praga Parish Music Ministry and the conductor of the Parish Grand Chorale and Children's Choir in Antipolo City. Last June - July 2019, I was part of the competing group of Manila Chamber Singers and represented the Philippines in various competitions in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, and in Vatican, wherein we were fortunate to sing at St. Peter's Basilica. In October 2018, I joined as a guest singer at the Angeles City Chorale Festival, a well-known choir festival in the country and the biggest one in the northern part of the country. In December 2018, I led the Christmas Concert entitled "Joy to the World" at Cogeo, Antipolo City. I am a soprano and a resident member of Manila Chamber Singers who joins in local performances and international competitions of the group since 2017. My first choral comepetition with the group happened last July 2017 at the 10th Orientale Concentus International Choral Festival. I also facilitated vocal workshops in Makati, Antipolo, Taguig and Quezon Province. In April 2016, I joined the Japan Tour of the UST Coro Tomasino wherein we perform at Osaka, Hiroshima and Himeji. In 2014, I became a member and a soprano of the UST Coro Tomasino, the offical choir of the UST Conservatory of Music.
