I hold a degree in Ethnomusicology and i've been practical in the field with more than 5 music albums recorded, I've worked with artists such as Zwai Bala(Tkzee) Lebo matosa( boom shaka) & Theo (mafikizolo). My goal is to teach Music theory grade 1-5 and train the voice because of my passion and love for it as an instrument on its own. I will also provide students with access to professional recording studio time so that they may be able to hear themselves on a song for the first time.

I have graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with a Flute Master's Degree and a Teaching Master Pedagogy degree. I teach students of all levels (beginner to professional) and of all ages, ranging from 5 to 70 years old. I use a different kind of pedagogy for every student, as everybody's learning techniques and habits are different. Hello Prospective Students! My name is Victoria. I am currently studying Music at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and have a passion for French, Music Therapy and Music. Between the months of April and August, I will be in the Toronto area teaching. I have lots of experience teaching music to students between the ages of 6 and 17 throughout my years in band, orchestra, choir and at home. When teaching, it is important to plan activities that stimulate growth in music and musical vocabulary. I make it my responsibility to ensure that students enjoy learning music and create a safe and positive environment for them to make music and grow as a musician. I have completed up to Grade 8 RCM Piano and Basic Harmony (RCM Level 9 Harmony). I currently play at a Grade 10 RCM level and will fulfill my exam in the near future. I am able to tutor/teach beginner piano up to Grade 3 RCM and up to RCM Advanced Rudiments (RCM Level 8 Theory). As for French, I have been learning/speaking French for 8 years. Beginning French in Grade 4, I have graduated high school with a Honours Certificate of Bilingual Studies in French. I have previous experience in tutoring children between the ages of 5 and 9 who are enrolled in French Immersion. When learning a language, it is important to be open-minded as it is a skill that develops through the correction of mistakes. Teaching French effectively is all about the approach one takes. I approach teaching with an encourage attitude and wish to see all my students succeed.

I specialize in helping students achieve a Distinction in Music Theory Exams (Grades 1–5) through structured lessons, clear explanations, and intensive past paper practice. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Distinction in Grade 5 Theory, and Grade 8 Piano from Trinity College London, I understand exactly what examiners expect and how to prepare students effectively. Piano lessons are also available for students who wish to develop strong practical skills alongside theory. My teaching style is structured, supportive, and results-focused — building both confidence and musical understanding.

I’m Matyas Hofecker, a professional bass player and music educator based in London. I developed a passion for music at a very young age, playing the trumpet when I was four years old. In elementary school, I became familiar with jazz and the bass guitar, then I switched to the double bass during my teenage years and started playing music professionally. I studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and received my Master’s Degree with honors from the Music and Arts University of Vienna. Over the past few years, I have become a permanent member of the European and UK music scene, and I have appeared at various venues and famous stages such as Ronnie Scott’s and PizzaExpress Jazz Club. I'm mainly influenced by Paul Chambers, Sam Jones, George Duvivier, and Peter Washington. I have toured with the legendary Harold Mabern Trio, recorded an album with Sheila Jordan, and shared the stage with renowned jazz artists like Joe Farnsworth, Jesse Davis, Pete Van Nostrand, Jim Rotondi, and Grant Stewart with a passion for straight-ahead jazz. I perform regularly around Europe, including Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and Portugal. Tutoring Experience: Since 2010, I have been teaching privately and giving individual lessons from beginners to advanced level, with students of all ages ranging from 6 to 80. During my academic studies, I studied pedagogy and led group and individual lessons. I also taught workshops as part of my course and in 2018, I was one of the teachers of the Carinthian Jazz Workshop and International Saxophone Competition where I taught jazz history, music theory, ear training, and ensemble. Currently, I'm the double bass teacher at the World Heart Beat Music Academy and Wandsworth Music Academy in London.
