Hey! I'm a composer, music producer, and guitarist based in Hong Kong with over 10 years of experience in the music industry. I have a passion for film scoring and have composed music for many films, TV shows, documentaries from all over the world. I am a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Specialization in Jazz Studies (Guitar). I have been involved with music for the majority of my life and am always keen to share my knowledge. Hi! My name is Simeon. As well as teaching Music, I create, play and perform. I am a producer as well as a multi-instrumentalist in various bands across Manchester. I also help out in the community whenever I can, with one of my most recent works being a 10 track album with a church choir which I recorded, mixed and mastered myself, for free! I have recently graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University, gaining a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status. In 2018 I recieved a BA (Hons) in Music Production. I also have two Higher National Diplomas in Audio Engineering and Music Production, awarded by the School of Electronic Music in 2014. Over the span of my undergraduate degree I was in instrument tutor and was also teaching Studio Production sessions to students in further educaion. Over the years I have gained extensive experiece in teaching and tutoring, in Music as well as other subjects during my PGCE year. I love teaching as much as I love music. I am Miguel Bastida, a musician and educator from Mexico. I studied classical composition and have been living in Hong Kong for the past 13 years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of teaching piano and music theory, conducting lessons in English to connect with a wide range of students. I am also a member of a band called Deer Mx, and we have toured extensively across Asia, blending classical influences with mainstream music. Originally from Israel - where I studied sound engineering and sound design - and am currently now in The Netherlands, I have experience in producing electronic music as well as a DJ and live performances. Currently I take part in an electronic group called Queen Anne’s Revenge, our EP is out on PRSPCT Records, you can find it on their Bandcamp. In addition to my electronic music, I've been playing the Cello for nearly 20 years - in live performances as well as in the recording studio. I have previously studied composition and Cello at the music academy in the university of Tel-Aviv. I bring all those years of experience to the class room so you - the student - can benefit. I will teach you everything there is to know about Ableton from producing full fleshed tracks to building your live electronic performance and even how to DJ (yes you can DJ with Ableton!).
