I began studying piano, vocal music, and flute at the age of five. During my childhood, I was highly enthusiastic about participating in various performances and competitions. At the age of 17, I completed my piano performance diploma and was awarded a Vocal Scholarship at the Auckland Best of the West Vocal Competition in the same year. Following this achievement, I was invited by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, to pursue a double bachelor’s degree in Music (Honours) and Literature. After graduation, I continued my studies and completed a Master’s degree in Music, majoring in Musicology. After returning to Hong Kong, I obtained a Professional Certificate in Music Therapy and completed a second Master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in Orchestral Conducting. Throughout my studies, I had the privilege of learning from many renowned teachers, including piano masters Tamas Vermes, Nan Gibson, and Li Ming Qiang; vocal masters Isabel Cunningham, Beatrice Webster, and Dr. Anthony Derek; and flute under Kate Lawson, principal flautist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In addition to my diplomas in piano and vocal performance, I hold a teaching certificate (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and I have achieved Grade 8 in Pop Singing from Rockschool. In recent years, I have been actively involved in promoting public music activities, participating in community art performances for charitable causes, and serving as an adjudicator for major music competitions.

I have been cast in various roles, including "Jellylorum" from *Cats*, "Heather Chandler" from *Heathers*, and "Thaddeus" from *Pelagie*. I am making my debut with Crow’s Theatre Canada (Trident Moon) in their 2025 season! Besides performing, I also love sharing my passion for singing through teaching voice. I have been teaching voice to students of all ages and conducting vocal workshops for over 5 years now. I am passionate about nurturing talent and guiding others to discover their voice, finding immense joy in helping students grow both artistically and personally. In the past, I have had various opportunities to perform on stage in musicals, plays, showcases, recitals, and annual concerts, including Beethoven's *No. 9* with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. I also had the opportunity to fly to Singapore and join the Vocal Star Music Talent and Competition. Recently, I was given the chance to perform my first solo with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra (Canada) in their March 2023 season.

My name is Vladislav Varzar. I am an operatic singer. My experience and opportunities for understanding many styles of music allow me to share the experience that I have gained before. I have worked in many Russian theatres; for example, most of my performances were at the Winter Theatre in Krasnodar. Currently, I perform and teach in Bangkok. I am a student at Mahidol University and I am glad to learn many specifics about Thailand as a country. My method is based on your nature, where we will work on breathing and body position. Passion and energy are key elements of my working style. My experience will be especially useful if you want to practice Italian repertoire (Puccini, Verdi, Bellini, etc.). As a Russian, I know many Russian songs and arias and can help with pronunciation in Russian, Italian, German, Ukrainian, and English. I can also demonstrate the differences between speaking speech and "vocal" speech.
