Q: What is your approach to teaching writing, and how do you help students develop their writing skills?

Using different writing techniques according to the type of the target writing genre of the student. Having experience TOEFL, and KET Writing, I used methods perfect for the language requirement of the exam. Through exposure to the language used for the exam, it is a good way of making the student learn to how to ace the writing exams.

Q: How do you help students with grammar, spelling, and punctuation?

Through writing activities on the computer or through pen and paper, students' spelling and punctuation can be identified and corrected. Grammar can be checked as well upon looking through the written output of the student. If not an exam writing lesson, through activities in sentence construction and writing activities on the screen or pen paper, grammar, spelling and punctuation can still be corrected.

Q: What is your approach to teaching reading, and how do you help students improve their reading comprehension skills?

With the use of age-appropriate level of materials, students are being taught how to read with comprehension. Young learners begin to think critically in a beginner's level of books. For intermediate, making inferences shall be asked. For advanced, making insights and opinions are expected.

Q: How do you help students with literary analysis and critical thinking skills?

We discuss the literary elements and structures to dissect the literary piece. Through questions and deeper understanding of the piece, critical thinking skills shall be used and developed in making an analysis.

Q: How do you help students with pronunciation and enunciation?

Blending and syllabicating the words can help students get the pronunciation and enunciation easier.

Q: How do you help students with public speaking or presentation skills?

Knowing the kind of speaking engagement helps instructor prepare for the kind of techniques and methods for effective delivery. The piece should be given if it is for literary competitions. For presentation, a mock presentation shall be observed and advices shall be given. Error corrections, postures, diction, pauses and other important areas for public speaking shall be highlighted.

Q: Can you explain complex English grammar rules in simpler terms for easier understanding?

The difference of Past Tense and Present Perfect Tense. If there is a specific past time expression, use Past Tense. If the past event happened and it is over, use Past Tense e.g. I went to the park yesterday. I went to the park. If there is past time expression is not implied or unknown, use Present Perfect. If the past action is still relevant till the present, use Present Perfect. e.g. I have been to America. I have gone to America.

Q: How do you motivate students who struggle with the language?

Making them become interested in the lesson motivates them to learn. Using effective tools, students feel they are understood. The areas for development shall be highlighted and can be focused and improved. Rewards, praises and compliments make students become motivated to learn and grow.

Q: Are you familiar with the English curriculum and course requirements at my school?

Materials to be used are prepared and ready to be used for different kinds of English lessons.

Q: How do you help students prepare for English exams and assignments?

Knowing the exam, topics, and lessons, teacher can assist the student with homework. Reviewing the lessons before the exams shall be done earlier .

Q: How do you ensure that students are actively engaged during tutoring sessions?

Activities and engaging conversations shall be given to students. Making students feel at home in the class becomes less exhausting for language learners.

Q: Can you help with test-taking strategies for English exams?

Yes, I can.

I have experience teaching TOEFL Reading and Writing. And have extensive background in IELTS Speaking.

Q: Can you provide guidance on choosing appropriate reading materials for improving English language skills?

Materials are effectively being used in the classes. Depending on the students' level, material shall be chosen accordingly.

Q: How do you help students with business English skills, such as writing professional emails or conducting meetings in English?

Exposing students in the language of professional emails is the start of learning the skills. Using the appropriate vocabulary and the format, students can manage to do this task. Engaging in a business setting of conversation makes the student become exposed and can practice before conducting meetings in the real world.

Q: How do you help students with understanding and applying literary devices in English literature?

Through discussing the literary devices used in a literary piece shall be discussed. Giving examples and exercises make the students become more familiar with this literary element.

Q: How do you encourage students to pursue their own writing interests in English?

Giving homework or writing tasks for students is a good strategy for them to work on their writing skills. Giving corrections and praises surely encourage students to write more. Reading the same literary genre will make the students have ideas how to write and what to write. Through examples, students get ideas on how and what to do to the tasks.
