Ma'am Myra as tutor of my daughter is very worth it. It can be seen on how my daughter improved in class. She was able to stay in special section, got good grades with a bonus of getting an award from “with honors” to “with high honors”. Aside from helping to cope up at lessons in school, the attitude of my daughter towards study is visible specially confidence. Before we got Ma'am as her tutor, she doesn’t know how to articulate things, but now, she is starting to have conversation to me with clarity and able to express herself as clear as possible.

Teacher Lanie, as I know her, taught me throughout my entire elementary years. I owe everything I know to her, as she guided me not only academically but also in my overall upbringing. I am now in medical school, pursuing my passion to become a physician, and I still treasure every lesson she blessed me with as a child. She will not only teach you academically, I guarantee she will help mold you into the best version of yourself.

She helped me excel throughout elementary school. I attended her tutoring sessions after our regular classes daily and reviewed under her guidance. She taught me advanced concepts tailored to my specific needs. Thanks to her, I had no trouble achieving honors in class. Besides being an excellent teacher, she is also fun to be around and very good at working with children. Looking back, I don’t recall a single dull moment.

Ms. Myralyn is an excellent tutor. She has been my tutor since Grade 1 and has always focused on her students’ needs. She teaches clearly, patiently, and encouragingly, which motivates me to study and do my best. She is one of the reasons I became an honor student. Topics that once seemed difficult are made easy to understand with her guidance. I highly recommend her and her services!

Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

I always insist to my tutee/student , memorize or be familiar with Math formula, and the sign, once they do that, solving equation and problem will be easier. We solve together, sometimes it become a game, the first to get the right answer, its funny when they got the right answer first, the atmosphere becomes light, student feel relaxed. We review incorrect solutions together to identify misconceptions. This helps students learn from mistakes and develop resilience.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

When I began tutoring it was a face to face method, I handle elementary student. They start with me since they were in grade one. Step by step , they finish their grade six level, Since they were in high school, I made a decision to teach grade 7 then until grade 10. That was the time, I started handling that level, and through online method. I preferred online method.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I love Math, I can teach all the lesson in in, most particularly lesson in Math of grade 7 to 10 like factoring, polynomials, linear equation, slope etc. To keep updated, I search in the web, review the new module of the students. Incorporating new pedagogical methods like inquiry-based learning, visual models, and real-world applications.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

Once, I saw that the students are facing difficulties, I directly message the parents, talking with them, what happen, what to do, and firm with my recommendation for the good outcome of the students. And for those who remain in the honor list/high grade, congratulating them, and send words of motivation to keep them aspiring more.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

During tutorial, I discuss first, then , give the students exercises so they can answer, and be familiar with the lesson.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

Discussing the lesson in every session, the students already have the concept of the leson and assignment. Sometimes, I let them do their assignment, of course with my guidance. But there are times, schedule is too hectic, I prioritize the discussion of the lesson, then, I gave them the answer of their assignment, then explain everything in it.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

Once I meet the tutee/ student, talking with them give me some insight on how should I teach them. No two individual is the same, so different methods are given. I want my student to learn and be comfortable in my way of teaching. It is so nice to see that each student grow, improving.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

Yes, I handle some of them, the too low I.Q , I talk to the mother on what should I do, patience and motivated that they can do it. I handle four student with autism, while solving in math, of course there are conversation about them, family, friends, everything, then the student open up, the lesson become easy to understand.
