I have been a classroom teacher for 25 years, during which time I have designed highly successful courses in English, French, Spanish, and other languages, as well as ESL/EFL, mathematics, teaching methodologies, and research methods for university and graduate level students. My teaching style focuses on uncovering how each student learns and collaborating with them to develop tricks, strategies, and routines that uniquely support their success in school. I aim to teach students how to effectively communicate in a new language, but our approach is not one where I simply tell them how to do it. Instead, it is a collaborative process where they inform me of their needs, allowing us to find an effective learning approach together. By studying in this manner, not only will you achieve good grades, but you will also develop lifelong skills for learning anything you desire. While I primarily operate in southern Vermont, I also travel to southwestern New Hampshire and western Massachusetts.
